Manga: Hero Mitai Ni

Also known as "Like a Hero" and scanlated by Hochuuami, this manga  is a one-shot work of my #1 favorite mangaka, Yamane Ayano. Eventhough she's my most favorite, I have not made bios of most of her characters that's because almost all of them have fanlisting sites if not personal forums. It's obvious that I am avoiding the famous characters in the Yaoi industry because you can find infos about them, so easily. But someday, I promise myself that I will write about them on my blog.

So about this one-shot, it is a story of High School boys. They are relatives and living in the same roof. The pairing is: the older boy as the uke and the younger one as the seme. I can say this is a hard yaoi (you always expect that from all of sensei's works) and eventhough it's just a one-shot I enjoyed my time reading it.

Tooyama Keiichi (Uke)

  

He is a 3rd year in HS and older than Kaname by a year. It looks like his parents died from a car accident that's why he was adopted by Kaname's family. Originally, they are cousins. When they were kids, he saved Kaname from a car accident. He was also the reason why the younger boy enjoyed his childhood.

They go to same school and lately he's been having problems dealing with the attitude of his brother. 

At school, he's known for his good deeds like one day while walking with Kaname, he saved a young girl from being hit by a car. One of his female classmates saw him and spread the news at school. It shows that he's got more friends than his known "brother."

Kaname Kaga (Seme)

He is known as the "younger brother" of  Keiichi at school but in reality they are cousins. He is a year younger than him so he calls him "Kei-nii."  During a car accident when he was a kid, he was saved by Keiichi and he can never forget this. Later on, when he realized that his desire for his older brother is love, he tried avoiding him. In doing so, he made Keiichi worried that he went to the club where he hangs out. Kaname punched him accidentally. 

Later on when confronted by Keiichi, he confessed his love and made love to him on his bed.

Manga: Royal Fiancé

Royal Fiancé   is the work of Kamon Saeko (art)  and Asuma Risai (story). It is scanlated by Shinmakoku Scanlation and Black Lilac Scans.

The characters are drawn so beautifully especially the seme. With the uke, he may look like a bit like a girl, but it's not a cross-dressing manga (I'm glad about that!). The only time he had to wear something long is during the wedding ceremony. This story is not gender-bias whom you're going to choose as a lifelong partner.


The story is about two young boys, both in their blooming teenage years where they have to sacrifice self-gratification for the sake of others. But in the end they found their way to each others hearts.

Honami Kairi (Uke)

Kairi is a poor kid that got engaged to a royal prince, unknowingly. His parents run away because of debts so he was left to his Aunt who works as a cleaning lady of the school dorm where he studies. But recently she is hospitalized and Kairi decided to stop schooling, instead accepted a job offer from an old man he helped along his way home. He was offered a job as a housekeeper. Kairi asked for advance payment for his aunt's surgery and he was given. On the day he had to start his job he was picked up without the knowledge that he is the future partner of a Prince from Ecuratan.

A hard-working and kind-hearted boy. He is very humble and patient. He's also shy and naive so his actions were misinterpreted by Shou.

He's been busy preparing to be the "future Queen" of Ecuratan. He studies the culture and history and proper court etiquette. His hobby is cleaning. 

 Limnio "Shou" Ecuratol (Seme)

A royal prince and also the next king of the country, Ecuratan, he is required to marry someone he had never met before. His country lies in the Mediterranean ocean and was once protected by Japanese , thus where the friendship between two countries was born. It is  customary for the citizens to add Japanese names as their middle name. "Shou" has a very Japanese feature that's why it was added on Limnio's name. He is also called "Shou" often.

He went to Japan to meet his fiancé as decided by his grandfather. He is infuriated but cannot rebel since this is part of their culture. He thought at first that Kairi only wanted his money but he was wrong after he followed him to the hospital where his Aunt is resting. He bought flowers to his Aunt and he's been described by her as "a tall man with golden, shiny hair, just like a prince from fairy tales." 

His country Ecuratan is known as the best producer of wine in the world. He told Kairi about the sparkling vine tree that lies somewhere in it. According to folklore, the couple that vows their love under it would be happy forever. He believes in it and so he hope to find that person to love someday. 

He did not expect to fall in love with Kairi until he got kidnapped and he met him under that "legendary" vine tree where they made their everlasting love vow.

He is the uncle of Shou who is fond of Kairi. Perhaps he's one of the rarest characters you see smiling other than Kairi.  ^_^

Shiori

The big brother of Shou but they have different mothers.  He may look aloof but he protects his brother and Kairi from the assassins.

Mifune

 

The person that picked up Kairi on his way to the royal's place. He is also his teacher as well as a secretary to the King. It looks like he is the "male lover" and true love of the current king of Ecuratan.

King of Ecuratan

 The father of Shou and Shiori. Before he got married he already had a lover, Mifune. But due to tradition, he had to marry the one his family chose for him. After his wife runaway, he secluded himself with Milfune and deprived Shou of attention. Despite of this, he chose him to be the next king. 

Grandpa King

This short, chubby, white-bearded old man is the reason why Kairi had to marry Shou. He was lost along the way and Kairi offered him help. In return he asked him if he wants to work as a housekeeper. The match-maker of the story, is no one else but the previous king of Ecuratan himself who is known to have huge liking with Japanese.

My Notes: Ooh it's so cold tonight, it's past 3 a.m. so the heaters are not on! I wish to take a warm bath...

This series is one of those that you wish it could've been longer. The art is gorgeous, no doubt about it. I can't help myself to add the other characters, so this page is loaded with more of them. I made the description short as much as I can. Happy reading!

Manga: Dare ga Omae wo Suki dato Itta: Did I Ever Tell You That I Love You?

This 1 volume manga is a collection of one-shots by Yamada Yuki and scanlated by Attractive Fascinante.

The couple I will share is from the first story (chapter 1 and 8). Chapter 1 involves short kisses and masturbation. In chapter 8, they were in a hot spring. Consider this a light yaoi.


1st Story: Did I ever Tell you that I love you?

Masayuki Tominaga (Uke)

Since he was young, he's been pursued by Soujirou. He is a bit of a bully and never took the boy's confessions very seriously. His HS years were spent in the drama club and with his girlfriend. His passion is acting but later on he became a scriptwriter for movie and tv dramas. Whenever he gets dumped by his girlfriends he would visit the pub where his childhood friend works. That is the big brother of Soujirou. He is called a "hetero."

He gets his inspiration for his scripts through his relationship. But he never really love the women wholeheartedly. When one day he found Soujirou with a woman, he got jealous and that's when he realized that he doesn't like the idea of losing him. He visited the young man at his flat and for the first time, he was touched by a man. Later on, he got drunk at Soujirou's brother pub and confessed that he is hurting because Soujirou did not wait for him to fall-in-love.

He is the younger brother of Masayuki's childhood friend and eversince young he's got a crush on him. He now works in Ox corporation and Masayuki considers him "an elite that you can only find in dramas." All his life, he has been waiting for his first love to be woman-less so he can pursue him. When he attended an "omiai" with his boss's daughter, Masayuki saw him. As the jealousy strike, so as the realization that Masayuki can't live without him. Although he was never told "I love you", he still loves the older guy. He brought him to a hot spring as he likes it alot!

Well I've been having a busy day arranging my Yaoi folders for the 5th time since November because I found some more from my husband's computer. A year ago, I would use his pc because he has more storage space than I do. Anyhooo... there are more couples to share from this manga. 

Manga: Kirai ja nai kedo and Koi ja nai kedo

 This is written by Mei Sakuraga, one of my favorite mangakas.

The story of the couple was adapted from the manga "Warui Koto Shitai" widely known as "I Want to be Naughty" (from I Want to Bully You).

It involves the Vice President of the Student Body and his delinquent neighbor friend, from the same school. The prequel of this manga is Kirai ja nai kedo   also known as "I Don't Dislike You." The 6th book, Koi ja nai kedo  ,  a.k.a.  "Isn't It Love" is the 2nd book of the couple.

The boys were drawn handsomely that's why I enjoyed looking at them. *fufufufu*
Well personally, I like stories such as this where the uke is tough and in denial. The seme is also tough and into raping mode.

If this is a hardcore yaoi, I can say yes. The scenes were more on seduction and kissing than sex. Sex scenes are not long but they're enough to give you a "good dream".  Sensei was blunt to show genitals but it didn't get to that "hardcore-ness" I was expecting. Despite of this, I am satisfied with the story, the pairing, and the art. I can recommend this to newbies to Yaoi that are too curious what's "hardcore yaoi."

Yukimura Shuji (Uke)

He is a childhood friend of Shinonome Ryuichi and currently in his 2nd year of High school. When they were in Junior High school, he saved Shinonome from fighting the Westside Junior HS students. He was famous for being a delinquent and known for his "lightning fast fist and deceptively beautiful face." At this stage of his teenage life, he wears contact lenses.

He became a scary-tough kid because he's been harassed many times. He thought being tough and looking tough would do him good. (And get the perverts away from him!)

Upon entering higher high school, he re-invented himself. He started wearing eyeglasses and made friends with top students only. He wanted to get away from his delinquent days, so he also ditched his old friends. By doing so, he thought he could get rid of his past but because of Shinonome, that past revived. His virginity was taken by no other than this 1 year old younger friend. How did that happen? By Shinonome's blackmailing.

Shinonome as his next door neighbor had been taking photos of him during his delinquent years. Those photos were personally stored because he's got a crush on Yukimura.

The vice president won't admit his feelings for Shinonome because he is stubborn and afraid to submit to his will. But he gets jealous whenever he sees him with women. One time in class, he was asked by a teacher to read a poem. When he saw Shinonome's name, (also means "East Cloud"), he held himself reading the phrase correctly but mispronounced it instead. That was an embarrassing situation but all he thought was the scene of his kouhai with 2 women - on the bed. That infuriated him.

The time that they were patrolling to find the "stalker" who was seen lurking outside the school gate, Shinonome came, too. He kissed Yukimura and told him he's being shallow not to understand his importance to his life. While in their intimate moment, they were found out by Irie, a co-student council member. When he was alone with Irie, the latter asked him about Shinonome. He defensively told Irie that it's his way of taunting him. The boy asked him next for a kiss, where he found it disgusting. Irie was punched in the end. Then he blamed Shinonome for twisting his emotions!

 He is a very active member of their school's student council as a VP. He catches the late school comers and often bump on Towa (the lover of Mikado- the President). When Shinonome enrolled at his school he tried to avoid him because he doesn't want to be known as a former delinquent like him. During his free time, he usually study or stay late at the student council room. He likes competitive games and he learned self defense by himself.

Shinonome Ryuichi(Seme)

 Shinonome is one year younger than Yukimura and currently a 1st year student. When he was in Junior HS, his family moved into the neighborhood where the Yukimura family lives. They became acquainted so he knows the "bad" past of his senpai. He loves him so much that he entered the same school after he graduated from Junior HS. Badly, Yukimura is the Vice president of the student council so he's been avoided because his senpai wants to maintain his "re-invented self". Later on, Shinonome found a way to take his senpai's virginity by blackmailing him. He agreed on a 5-minute a day session in exchange for not exposing the Vice president's past whereabouts.

He likes the smell, skin, and slender waist of Yukimura.

*He's one of the seductive and handsome semes I've met. ^_^*

He likes hanging out with his friends. He drinks and smokes. One of his most important hobby is taking pictures of Yukimura. He calls him "Yuki chan". Ever since he became neighbors with Yukimura, he would come to his bedroom whenever he feels like it.You can say Yukimura unconsciously spoiled him.

Manga: Koakuma no Sanctuary

Koakuma no Sanctuary is also known as, "The Sanctuary of a Sweet Demon", was written by Igoh Ruh and illustrated by Sakurai Ryou. Sakurai sensei mentioned in the foreword that this is a series about "goatie" guys. In this entry, I will be featuring the 1st couple's story. ^___^

The  story is about a rekindled love. I think the characters are handsome enough and I wish their story to be longer. Well,  I have to admit that I love this drama-painful-waiting kind of storyline... I recommend this to those who have kind hearts, lol! The sex scenes are not very much for this couple, so don't expect hardcore-ness.

 Serizawa Reiji (Uke)

Reiji has an older brother who has a bestfriend, Kagami. When he was in high school, he fell in-love with his brother's bestfriend. One day while his brother was out, Kagami came by and asked him if he needed help for his college entrance test. Reiji, who was suppressing his love for a long time, confessed to Kagami and on that day their "secret relationship" started. When Reiji kun thought that their relationship was running smoothly, his beloved man told him that he doesn't love him so they should end their relationship. Kagami added too that he's still very young so he can easily get over him. 

It's been 10 years since that day and Reiji kun woke up from those past memories with Kagami. He realized that he is not over him. It's also his first day of work in a new job (after his previous job got dissolved). He recently found a job in a cosmetics company and was assigned to the products development area. On that same day while walking in a construction area with his partner, Hashino Akira, he thought he saw Kagami. He confirmed it was him when he saw the man enter the same restaurant that he's in. That night, he asked his brother where he works. Warily and aggressively, he came looking for him the next day, until they manage to meet face-to-face. He was luckily invited by him for a drink. While they were drinking, his feelings for Kagami gets to him deeply that's why when he got a chance to go to his flat, he confessed that he's still harboring feelings for him. Unfortunately, the phone rung and Kagami had to pick it up. In the end, he was shooed away so he decided not to see him anymore. When one night he went to a gay bar, "Loose" it is called, he was picked up by someone but he refused to have sex with him. While arguing with that guy, Kagami intervened, thus saved him but, they quarreled. He told him that he had trampled his feelings on the day he broke up with him.

Though he had tried to avoid meeting Kagami again, his partner at work found the architect and asked if he can be a part of their product testing event. Kagami accepted the offer. They both decided to behave like professionals and no personal involvement. After the shaving cream test, he received a text message from Kagami asking him to go to his place. He run there as soon as he can.

 Kagami Takahito (Seme)

Kagami san is Reiji's big brother (Takashi) bestfriend. He first met Reiji when he was in college and every time he visits their house, he would use Takashi as an excuse to see the, by then, 17-year old boy. He is afraid to confess to Reiji because of his bestfriend's reaction. But when the boy confessed to him, the fear dissolved so he embraced him. But when his guilt gathered up, he decided to have a break up, thinking it's for the sake of Reiji, but he did not realize that he hurt him so much by doing so...

Ten years have passed and his feelings for Reiji hasn't changed. One day he met him at the construction site where he works. He invited him to have a drink then, to his flat. When Reiji confessed to him again, he wanted to embrace him but Takashi phoned - bringing up the fear and guilt for harboring feelings for his bestfriend's "baby" brother. The next thing he did, he drove away Reiji. The next time they met was when he saw the young man arguing with another man. He saved Reiji but ended up arguing with him, too. 

When he accepted to be a participant in the shaving cream survey where Reiji works, he texted him afterward to come by his place. Reiji run to him as fast as he can only to be told that he had never forgotten him for 10 years.

Manga: Ai ga Kami wo Korosu Toki

Also known as, "A Love that Conquers God" by Akira Honma. At the time I posted this entry, the manga is not fully scanlated yet.

This manga has a gorgeous seme. I cannot say much how much I like or love the story because I have not read the whole volume. I fell in-love with the characters, though. ^_^

I think this is a good recommendation for newbies of yaoi audience. I can't call it a "light manga" because there are sex scenes in 2 chapters, nor it is hardcore either. The story is about an unrequited love that awakens in the next generation, It is also about a complicated relationship: between a normal Japanese student and a feared mafia personality.

Takeru (Uke)

He failed his university exam twice so he decided to visit NYC. On his first day there, his belongings including his wallet were stolen so he run after the thieves and ended up in a dark alley of thugs. While escaping from the bad guys, he run into Ray. He asked to be saved and he was given shelter. With his passport and belongings all gone, Ray helped him re-made his papers so he can go back home. While staying with Ray at the mansion, he was instructed not to go to the main area but did not follow his instruction so he found out that Ray is in the mafia. He also witnessed him killing a man. Ray ended up shooting himself in order to protect him. Ray survived and brought him to a secret hide-out. They made love the second time and the next morning, he told him to go back to Japan and they will never see each other again. But he did not follow his instructions (again?), so he waited for him to come back. In the end he made Ray promise that he will see him no matter how long the waiting takes...

In reality, he is the son of a NYC mafia boss from his Japanese servant. His mother is also the "first love" of Ray. He resembles her so much that's why Ray accepted to take care of him. He did not know about this, so he believes that his parents are both Japanese. He grew up in Canada until he was 5 years old, that's why he can speak a bit of English. 

One time, in trying to pay his gratitude to Ray, he rushed to "Razzbell", the stubborn dog of  the Mafia boss,  and got himself bitten.

Ray (Seme)

He is regarded as the 2nd leader of the NYC Mafia, "Cosa Nostra". His boss is currently in coma and the leadership of the gang is in chaos because the boss has no more offspring to be the next head. But he proposed to Chester (a right hand guy), that they might be able to find the "other" son from the past Japanese servant whom their boss loved so much, whom he also loved. He accidentally found this illegitimate son while he was in a NY alley and was about to go inside the car. He bumped into Takeru while the young man was chased by goons. He wouldn't help him if he did not resemble his first love, which means, Takeru might be the lost son of his boss. He took him in the mansion and was asked by Chester to get a DNA sample to make sure if he is whom they were looking for. Caressing Takeru's face and hair, he managed to take a strand of hair which later Chester teased him about because the latter was expecting him to do something "more". On the night that he told Takeru to transfer to a hotel, he was confessed at and they ended up making love. That same night, Takeru found out, that he is a member of a mafia organization. He shot himself in order to protect Takeru and while everyone thought that the young man was dead, he took him to a secret hide-out. This hide-out is the place where his boss and his lover (Takeru's mother) would meet in the past. There, he revealed to Takeru that he works in a mafia and normally they kill those who gained knowledge of their organization without being a part of it. Takeru swayed by his honesty and  love for him, made love to him but only to be told the next day that he needs to forget Ray. 

Eventually, the DNA test result revealed that Takeru is the son of their boss. To protect him from the mafia life, Ray lied that he is not that's why he was asked to kill the young man. Due to fear and anxiety, Takeru collapsed and Ray shot himself. Thankfully he wore a bullet-proof chest gear so the wound was not very deep. Chester shielded him while they were running away (and while Takeru was unconscious.)

 He is respected as 2nd in command to the NYC mafia organization. He follows their boss's will and always watching out for Takeru's sake ever since they met.

Manga: Beast and Feast

This is one of the recent mangas in my collection by Akira Norikazu. I know there are older scanlated mangas waiting for me to reveal the characters  but I couldn't help myself  to share it - ASAP! ^___^
Since it's been recently completed by Fantasy Shrine, I will write brief description of the characters. Yaoi-god knows I can get overboard with details, but this time I will refrain myself  for those who have not read it yet. *put handcuffs on my libido*

If you are looking for a hard yaoi, not very long series, has no female-look-alike uke, a beastly seme, and with a taste of bondage, then this is the manga for you.

The couple here have intervening careers. This is a story between a Yakuza and a Detective, with humor and more yaoi love to entertain you!

Hishinuma Kazuha (Uke)

Kazuha is a detective and a former class representative during his Junior HS, where he met Hyodo. He confiscated cigarettes from him and used his Judo techniques to subdue the famous delinquent in school. After that, Hyodo followed him around. He learned Judo because he is short. Written by Fumika Yamada, "Dear My Mister" is a fine story and is suitable for beginners Yaoi fans before reading hardcore Yaoi.  ^_^

The first couple I will talk about is from the main story (chapters 1-2). It is about a teacher and his student and how they manage to surpass their "language barrier".

Asakura Noah (Uke)

Manga: Usotsuki na Kimi no Toriko

This is a manga by Minase Masara, one of my favorite mangakas. It is about a relationship of a part-time student and his manager, but before that, a common person they know was their acquaintance in the past. It is a complicated relationship since there are struggles of two seme for one uke.

 Ikuta Yuuki (Uke)

Yuuki is an only child and a spoiled one. When he was younger,  Nakagou Yoshiki tutored him , then they became lovers. Yuuki became humble and submissive to Nakagou. When Nakagou got engaged, he left him because he couldn't bear the thought of him holding a woman while he's the other option for sex. Later on, when he is already a manager of a company, he found his younger cousin, Ryousuke. 

One night, his office mates decided to go out to welcome Ryousuke but Yuuki declined. Later on,  Ryousuke found him on the street and ended up bringing him to the younger guy's flat. He left Yuuki because he had to marry a woman from an arranged marriage. He told Yuuki that he will get married for a few years only and will go back to him eventually. So they did not have a fair break-up. He would tell Ryousuke that Yuuki is only a plaything but he told him "I love you" with a sincere face.

He actually left his marriage, came back without a ring thinking he could reunite with Yuuki again, unfortunately  he was dismissed. He kept pursuing him until it comes to the point where he raped him.

Manga: Ano Kado Wo Magatta Tokoro

This is one of my favorite works of Toko Kawai. I have not read many mangas from this author, but this one is unforgettable.

So the relationship goes around an adult and a high school student. Unknowing of the age, the Uke, who became the Seme's teacher went for weekend sex, months before knowing the real identity of the seme. After finding out that his lover is a minor, he tried to avoid him, but ended up pursued and trapped in a difficult teacher-student relationship. Somehow managed to work it out. ^_^

Kiriya Kazuaki (Uke)

 

Kazuaki used to work in an office and a lover of his boss. But when they were found out by his boss's wife, he was thrown out of the company. On thesame night, he met Kishimoto, who had gone by the hospital for his medical check-up. Kazuaki tried to kill himself by crossing a street on red light but he was saved by the boy. They were both feeling wretched at that time and found relief in each other, thus, going to bed that night.

He may be an adult but he's clumsy. Whenever he's in trouble , especially towards his previous boss lover, he would call Kishimoto. That's before he found out that he's still in high school and not as what he told him that he is a 19 year old. Eh, what can he do, he did not think he's still very young because of his mature physique.

He found out that Kishimoto is still in his high school,  when he became a substitute teacher for his school. He was mad and guilty. He tried to get rid of him but Kishimoto confessed his love and has become persistent, than ever. In reality he's in-love with the boy but the reasons behind not accepting the boy's love is not only one or two. First, he's a high school student. Second, he is almost 10 years older than him. Third, he likes older men. 

He has been encouraging Kishimoto to not give up his passion for playing the piano. He's quite popular with the girls in school as well as to the boys. He was once harassed by a P.E. teacher but was saved by his lover. He was also harassed again, by one of his boy students in the music room because the student thought he likes him, while in reality, he was just imagining Kishimoto playing the piano instead of the said student.  He has a friend Hayama, who recommended him to work at the kid's school until Spring.

Although it is his passion, he had to lie that he doesn't know how to play it because he couldn't play like before. The first person whom he showed his deteriorated hand was his teacher. He also lied to Kazuaki that he's 19 so he can see him every weekend. 

He wants to call Kazuaki as "Kazu".

Once alone in the piano room (after driving away the boy student who wants to rape his beloved teacher...) , he played a piece for a minute or so for his teacher, "Liebes Traume" (a Dream of Love) by Liszt.

Manga: Ai ni Somare ( Dye of Love )

This beautiful work by  Ruri Fujikawa is a 6 chapter manga. The first couple story I will write bios about is called, "Dye of Love", which comprised the 3 chapters of the whole volume and is also the main story. I recommend this to those who have foot fetish. ^_^

So, the story revolves around two cousins, both belong to families whose businesses are in the fashion and clothing material industry.

Ai (Uke)

Ai belongs to a family of Kimono Dyers. He used to take care of himself until he met his cousin Tokiwa, (22 years old at that time) when Tokiwa kun decided to study in Japan.

His mother died when he was younger. When his love for his half-French cousin started? It was a love-at-first sight. He confessed to him yet his love wasn't returned. Six years have passed and Tokiwa came back only to ask him to make a Red Dye for him.  Seeig him constantly going out with women, Ai told Tokiwa kun that he will not make that red dye. So one day, Tokiwa visited him and asked what he can do to make him make it. Ai non-hesitantly told him that he wants him to be his lover while he's in Japan in exchange for the red dye cloth. Tokiwa asked him to change his mind but Ai persisted to be his lover. Their supposed - to - be - pretend - lover relationship will go on until the red dye is finished.

Tokiwa is a cousin of Ai kun from his mother side. His father is French and he grew up in France. He came to study in Japan when he was 22 and that's where he stayed for 3 years with Ai kun's family. His father is a famous fashion designer, Claude Chardin. He is known to be a playboy but it's his cover-up for his feelings towards his younger cousin, Ai. He admitted later in the story that he had to refuse Ai's confession and feelings because he was afraid he will destroy the boy's future. So after 6 years, he returned to Japan to ask his cousin to make him a Red Dye.

He is the first love of Ai. He accepted the pretended-lover-relationship they had until the red dye is completed. But when it was completed, he confessed to Ai and did not want to let him go.
