Manga: Sleeping Moon

Sleeping Moon by Kano Miyamoto is one of my early favorites mystery-horror-superstition manga. It shows the Japanese era where superstition and religion strongly influenced the lifestyle of Japanese. But what I love most are the 3 characters involved in the story.

This is a story of a family curse, from 100 years ago and 2 cousins searching for ways to stop it. One of them happened to go back in the past and met an ancestor. It's a story of incest, a sinful emotion is love but love can conquer anything, right? It doesn't matter if you agree with me or not, hehe. But for sure this manga is memorable and I treasure it. I consider this as light yaoi although there are smut scenes and seductions. Enjoy!

 Odagawa Akihiko (Uke)

 Akihiko went back to his father's town for a month stay. It's been 17 years since he last visited it. His ancestors are the Sakaki family and there's a curse that only affects the male descendants. Odagawa's grandfather died in his 20's, while his dad at 35 due to a car accident. But he never believed it was due to an accident that's why he returned to the countryside in hope to lift the curse. Instead he stumbled upon unexpected events, including meeting one of his ancestors through a "time slip". He is next in line to die so he wanted to be saved or at least end the curse with him. 

In his return awaits his twin cousins and Aunt. The boy is Ren and the girl is Eri. Ren became infatuated about him. The two of them are the ones that can feel and see the supernatural occurrences around the house. They are also the remaining male descendants of the Sakaki family so they decided to help each other in lifting the curse by finding clues about the past of their ancestors. Only Akihiko can travel in the past where he met Eitarou, the ancestor that wrote the diary of the "Ghost of the Tsukimidai". He informed Eitarou that they are trying to get rid of the curse and asked for his help to find information what happened before that.

Akihiko is also protected by a Fox God. The Sakaki family worships a Fox God. When his grandfather died 17 years ago, he and his dad returned in town for the funeral.

 One of the twin cousins of Akihiko. Like Akihiko, he can also see ghosts and spirits, so as feel them too. He has a sister called "Eri", a weak girl. Just like Akihiko, he also wants to stop the curse inflicted to their family. While helping his older cousin to stop the curse, he developed feelings for him so he would do anything to protect Akihiko from dying. Together, they encounter the mystery of their family house  and uncover the secrets it carries for hundred of years.

Tall and attractive. He is a quiet person because he sees weird things that no one can see and he would think about them often. He talks alot when he is with his beloved cousin. A considerable young man, although sometimes he needs to be pushed to do something or else he will slack. 

Activities/Hobbies:

A university student and he majors in History. He also smokes. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Shinjou Eitarou (Seme)

The ancestor of Akihiko and Ren. He saw a ghost during a full moon and wrote about him on his diary. Later on, when Akihiko found his diary, they met in person through a "time slip" where you return to the past event. He lives in a Meiji era, Taisho Period, a hundred years after the Sakaki family curse started. He learned that Akihiko is the ghost that he saw. He gave Akihiko a bell to ring whenever they want to see each other.

Eitarou developed feelings for Akihiko but he didn't tell him until the last time they saw each other. They have to stop seeing each other or Akihiko will eventually disappear in both worlds. When they weren't seeing each other anymore, he continued his "time slip" travel. Sometimes he would be gone for days from his real world. In the future, he impregnated his cousin that looks like Akihiko but they never got married because he slipped away and never returned. She bore a boy but it got adopted by her elder brother. That boy is the grandfather of Ren.

He is the son of Akihiko's great grandfather's sister.

There is a separate story of him travelling to the exact time when the curse begun and he met a beautiful male prostitute.

Manga: Can't Become the Perfect Prince

Also known as "Oujisama ni Narenai" is the work of Kamon Saeko. Her characters always look beautiful so I quite enjoy the art. I have to warn though, that her characters can be similar from her other works.

So this one-shot I found long ago, is one of those young boys story where the setting is inside the school. This time it's in the library. Yeah...books and book cases. Who's got a fetish for this?

Satonaka (Uke)

He first appeared on the first page of the manga during his confession to "the School Prince." By a glance, he's an aloof guy, look nerd with the glasses and usually serious but he actually works at the school's library. That's where he saw Honda and fell-in-love with him. He observed that Honda is only acting toward the girls and everytime he rejects them, he found it admirable that the girls can be very honest although they already expected to be rejected. That's why he thought he should confess too. But it didn't go right, of course. Although he's been rejected by him, his feelings hasn't changed. He even told him that he'll keep it a secret from the rest about his true behavior. When they became friends, Honda would ask him about fairytale books and he suggested quite a few to him. When the day came that he had to get rid of his eyeglasses, Honda came back to the library with a bunch of girls which hurt him. So when he went inside the library's office, Honda followed and confessed his feelings by making love to him.

Honda (Seme)

He is known in school as "The School Prince" because of his good looks and "proper" behavior dealing with girls. He's very selfish and only cares about his good looks and status in school. One day, he got confessed by a boy, Satonaka. He was surprised because that was the first time that a guy did it. Faith keeps them, so when he went to the library to return an overdue book, they met the second time. In between their short conversation, he asked him about the books he read and was told "fairytales". He told him immediately that those kind of stories are for children. Thus he was given a book by Satonaka and surprisingly, he became very interested on the subject, thus they became good friends. How his feelings developed for Satonaka, in this one-shot it's very fast. He just realized that one day he likes his honesty and how he flustered when he took off his eyeglasses... Then one day, he just pushed him between books and book case. That's how he confessed.

Manga: Hanakage no Kioku

Hanakage no Kioku by Saori Mieno, is at the moment my favorite drama-bitter-sweet-yaoi manga. It's in the right season to be put up on my blog because it's Spring Season from where I live! ^_^

The story is about two childhood friends that were born with different society status, during the 1800's Western era. Saori sensei used symbolism to distinguish an unrequited love and if you want to find out about it, well take my suggestion that this manga is beautiful and dramatic, and it's memorable. Master-butler theme is one of sensei's fetishes. Tee~hee!

If you are a hardcore master-servant fanatic, I am sorry this won't be hardcore, but it's about master-servant relationship. What I really like about the characters is that, their characteristics were developed enough to fit in this one-volume manga. The uke may look like feminine so I'm warning the feminine-looking-uke- haters. *peace sign*

Laurent (Uke)

Laurent is a servant of Arthur's family since he was young. They grew up together and he is loved by Arthur's grandfather. He has a thing for gardening and his most loved flower is, the daffodil. As they were growing up, he realized that he love Arthur more than just a master. But because of their differences in status in the society, he suppressed his feelings for him. 

He is known to have a green thumb. His passion for daffodils has something to do with his suppressed feelings. One day, Arthur got mad at him and he was raped. After that incident, Laurent never planted any daffodils at the manor. As years pass by, Laurent remains a loyal servant to Arthur. But how long will he stay by his side being just a servant? 

When they were adults already, he met Carel Harcourt, who was attracted by the flowers he planted. They became good friends and he's been his love consultant after Arthur sent him away. While staying at this noble's manor, he worked as a gardener.

Laurent had been jealous of the former fiance of Arthur, Clarice. But because of him, his master can't take women, nor get tied with them. To show his love in a quiet way, he stayed by his side, and being needed is enough to live. He knows his master's feelings but he denies them, thinking that as long as they're master and servant, their love can never exist.

Arthur Randall (Seme)

Arthur is from a noble family whom Laurent serves. He would go for vacation at his grandfather's manor and that's where he would see Laurent. He loved watching him doing his gardening and the moments spent with him alone. He became too attach with the servant that he became possessive too. When he raped Laurent, it was because the latter chose to tend the flowers in the garden, which were destroyed by strong winds the night before (it's also possible that Arthur destroyed them a day before...), rather than leave with him for horse-riding. He threatened him that if he is ignored, he will destroy his garden. After that incident, he stopped being friends with Laurent, however, the person is always on his mind. Guilty and furious by what he did to his childhood friend, he knows he did it because of love, but a devastating truth - a love that can never be returned and which society won't accept.

He has a classmate, Carel, whom he used to talk about the beautiful gardener at his grandfather's manor. Years had passed and he asked Laurent to be his butler. This is in order to let him stay close to him. Laurent did everything he wanted and took care of him, like a good Butler of a noble family. When Carel found out about Laurent as the gardener he was talking about, the noble got close to his butler which got him jealous. That's because his friend can make Laurent smile again, while he can't.

During the death anniversary of his grandfather, Laurent and him met at the graveyard. They went back together and inside the horse stable, he confessed his feelings to him. It was an out front confrontation and Laurent gave him a rather painful reply, but decent enough for a servant could give his master. The next day, he told him that his job is finished in the Randall's household and told him to set off to his cousin's family after he trains the next butler, Hughs. When Laurent left, he couldn't live a day without him. He sought after him and saw his beloved  with Carel. Carel talked to him and he was told that the nobleman is planning to bring Laurent with him to another place. If he can decide what to do with his previous butler, he should see him back at Carel's manor. 

Later, he went to see Laurent and they spent a "sweaty" goodbye night. How far will he go for Laurent?

Later on, he decided to give up his title as a nobleman, sold his property, and became a private tutor at Carel's household in pursuit of Laurent.

Carel Harcourt (Seme)

Carel also came from a noble family and he was a former classmate of Arthur. He heard of Arthur's beautiful gardener and ever since then, he fell-in-love with the person thinking that it was a "girl". When they were much older, he bought a property which was nearby the Randal's property that's why he was able to roam around and one day, saw the beautiful gardener that Arthur had been talking about - and it was a man. He confessed to Laurent that he's in-love with him. Despite knowing that his beloved is in-love with his friend, he still helps him to live. Laurent lived at his house and later on, his family accepted Arthur as a tutor, where his home provided the two lovers their love-nest.

Hughs

He is a humble servant of Arthur's family. He is supposed to be the next butler of the house, but he gave his position to Laurent.

Manga: Close to You

From Akira Kanbe, this manga is a recent favorite of mine. It is also known as "Kimi Made Mousugu."  The story has been thought out and it's good enough to be a one-volume manga. On the after notes of Akira sensei, she mentioned that this is her BL work and was written by her friend, Shima Minori. I fell in-love with the uke and seme as I read along.

The story is about two adults that work in an apparel company. This is another moment for me to reveal characters in office suits. Yay!~

Maniwa (Uke)

 

He is the closest friend of Kouzuki at work. They met a year and a half ago during the company's entrance ceremony and after that, their friendship started. Maniwa just recently told Kouzuki that he confessed to his superior Haruna sama, a 5-year older senior and supervisor, but he got rejected. They decided to drink that night and he got drunk so Kouzuki brought him to his flat. When Maniwa woke up he wondered why he's naked?

One time he became an urgent model for the company. He had no choice because his supervisor asked him in place of the missing model. He is known as a man with beautiful face so he attracts attention easily. He's been flirted several times and one time Kouzuki had to save him. That was during their exhibition business trip. 

When they have issues between each other, he cannot find resolve. But when he does, he kept running after Kouzuki so they can talk and sort out what's going on between them. He is afraid that he is angry or mad at him and he doesn't know the reason. Until when will he keep running after him?

Kouzuki Hirumi  (Seme)

After Maniwa told him that he got rejected by their supervisor, he asked him to go out for a night drink. He said that it is to celebrate their broken hearts. He actually broke up with his HS girlfriend, Yuki, a month before he and Maniwa begun an awkward  relationship.On the night that they were drunk, he brought Maniwa to his flat. Is it the effect of alcohol or hidden attraction to him that made him touch and kiss his drunk close friend. After that he passed out so when he woke up in the morning, he found them both naked on his bed. When Maniwa wondered why he's naked, he told him that he undressed himself. Honestly, no one remember what exactly happened.

That kiss made him realize his feelings toward Maniwa. He's not just a close friend, but, someone whom he cannot live without with. When Maniwa parents came down, he asked if he could stay for a week at his place. He wanted to decline but the thought of him living with someone else was disturbing. While they were living together, he's embarrassed  for having feelings for him that he avoided his friend as much as he can. This affected his job so on the day that he was scolded by the boss he went out to get drunk. When he came home, Maniwa was waiting anxiously. He was confronted why he's being absent-minded for the past few days and he answered by kissing him. He was slapped by his friend and thought that it was the end of their friendship.

Seems like their destiny is to be together all the time, lol. So they were sent to Osaka for a business trip. He met his old friend, Yagami Haru, who has a lifelong crush on him. He saved him from falling the stairs which put him at the hospital. Haru got mad at Maniwa and he heard about it so he confessed to Maniwa while at the same time rejecting Haru. Nevertheless, he made Minawa happy and misunderstandings have been cleared with honesty!

He used to hate green peppers but he eats it now.

He works as a designer in Osaka where he met Kouzuki and Maniwa. His studio is in-charge of the display for the exhibition. He got jealous of Maniwa and threatened him not to get close to Kouzuki. The second time he confessed to Kouzuki, he got rejected again.

Manga: Hoshigarimasen! Katsumade Wa: Extra One-shot

Hello everyone! 

I decided to do this quick post today since the handsome sensei is waiting impatiently to be listed on my blog. Hahahaha! You can find the link of the characters from the main story (Couple #1).

The last chapter is a one-shot about the elder brother of Nakatani Hiyori. He is the well-known handsome nutritionist of Houka Academy Institution. Then finally I will close the list of important characters from this manga.

Inoue Kusakabe (Uke)

 

He met Nakatani at Houka Academy, an All-Boys school. He was an active track and field athlete. He never liked Nakatani sensei because he knew that he is a pervert and uses his popularity to seduce young boys. But he was captivated by him when he became his food tester. He especially learned from sensei the importance of nutrition to an athlete. His parents were never home most of the time and he would eat convenience store or fast food meals daily. So when sensei became his food advisor, he was noted during his practice: "not looking pale and his condition back to normal."

The night his parents told him that they're divorcing, Nakatani sensei called him. Inoue kun depress as he is, asked if he could stay at his sensei's house for that night. When he went there, he realized his feelings for the perverted older man and gave himself out to him. But he never said his true feelings and thoughts for him.

After many years, you see him as a co-teacher of Nakatani sensei. He is a track and field coach for the students of  Houka Academy. He would consult Nakatani sensei about the proper diet of his students. He appeared in chapter 3.

Nakatani sensei is the nutritionist and dorm manager of Houka Academy Institution. He is popular because he's quite handsome and easy-going. As much as he helps the students to be healthy, they are also his prey for his "after class private lesson." He got interested with Inoue kun because he's a stubborn kid. So one day he dragged him to his hide-out and asked him to be his food tester. But the truth is, he wants him to eat healthily. By doing so, he gained his trust. Later, he took advantage of him by giving him a BJ at his residential home and god knows it will be more than just a BJ if chibi Hiyori did not appear!

[ Chibi Hiyori ]

He appeared in the first 4 chapters because he is the elder brother of Hiyori kun. It may look like he wants to have incestuous relationship with him, but it's only because he cares alot. He mentioned that they both look thesame. He also warned his brother's lover not to do "bad" things on him, but that's because he's afraid that he will be raped.

Manga: Dare ga Omae wo Suki dato Itta: Did I Ever Tell You That I Love You?

This 1 volume manga is a collection of one-shots by Yamada Yuki and scanlated by Attractive Fascinante.

The couple I will share is from the first story (chapter 1 and 8). Chapter 1 involves short kisses and masturbation. In chapter 8, they were in a hot spring. Consider this a light yaoi.


1st Story: Did I ever Tell you that I love you?

Masayuki Tominaga (Uke)

Later on, he got drunk at Soujirou's brother pub and confessed that he is hurting because Soujirou did not wait for him to fall-in-love.

When he attended an "omiai" with his boss's daughter, Masayuki saw him. As the jealousy strike, so as the realization that Masayuki can't live without him. Although he was never told "I love you", he still loves the older guy. He brought him to a hot spring as he likes it alot!

Well I've been having a busy day arranging my Yaoi folders for the 5th time since November because I found some more from my husband's computer. A year ago, I would use his pc because he has more storage space than I do. Anyhooo... there are more couples to share from this manga. 

Manga: Dear My Mister

Written by Fumika Yamada, "Dear My Mister" is a fine story and is suitable for beginners Yaoi fans before reading hardcore Yaoi.  ^_^

The first couple I will talk about is from the main story (chapters 1-2). It is about a teacher and his student and how they manage to surpass their "language barrier".

Asakura Noah (Uke)

Noah is a 2nd year high school student and he is learning to converse in English. He doesn't enjoy the language at first until he met Takamasa san in an English language school and soon after that he learns the language slowly, but at the same time gaining his confidence while using it. Although half-British, he grew up in Japan so he is exposed in Japanese culture and not in the British way.  He fluster whenever Takamasa san directly approach him about how he like his eyes, or how beautiful he is. After a few months they became very close and one day, he kissed Takamasa san out of his own free will.

Takamasa san is a Western cultured Japanese and teaches English in a tutorial school. He knows the English language better than Japanese. He is attracted to Noah kun's eyes and honesty. Before he came to Japan, he had a problem regarding his boss's daughter back in the UK so because of that, the girl followed him from where he is now and she tried to stop the relationship between him and Noah kun. 

He can't control himself whenever Noah kun acts ~cutely~ so he is often smacked or scolded by Reiko san for kissing or hugging Noah.

Manga: Ai ni Somare ( Dye of Love )

This beautiful work by  Ruri Fujikawa is a 6 chapter manga. The first couple story I will write bios about is called, "Dye of Love", which comprised the 3 chapters of the whole volume and is also the main story. I recommend this to those who have foot fetish. ^_^

So, the story revolves around two cousins, both belong to families whose businesses are in the fashion and clothing material industry.

Ai (Uke)

Ai belongs to a family of Kimono Dyers. He used to take care of himself until he met his cousin Tokiwa, (22 years old at that time) when Tokiwa kun decided to study in Japan.

His mother died when he was younger. When his love for his half-French cousin started? It was a love-at-first sight. He confessed to him yet his love wasn't returned. Six years have passed and Tokiwa came back only to ask him to make a Red Dye for him.  Seeig him constantly going out with women, Ai told Tokiwa kun that he will not make that red dye. So one day, Tokiwa visited him and asked what he can do to make him make it. Ai non-hesitantly told him that he wants him to be his lover while he's in Japan in exchange for the red dye cloth. Tokiwa asked him to change his mind but Ai persisted to be his lover. Their supposed - to - be - pretend - lover relationship will go on until the red dye is finished.

He loves 'Toraya buns', a Japanese sweet which Tokiwa fed him during his visit. ^_^

He admitted later in the story that he had to refuse Ai's confession and feelings because he was afraid he will destroy the boy's future. So after 6 years, he returned to Japan to ask his cousin to make him a Red Dye.

He is the first love of Ai. He accepted the pretended-lover-relationship they had until the red dye is completed. But when it was completed, he confessed to Ai and did not want to let him go.

Manga: Hoshigarimasen! Katsumade Wa

One of the beautifully drawn mangas that I've encountered coming from, Kanami Itsuki,  Hoshigarimasen! Katsumade Wa  is a 5 chapter manga that revolves around an All Boys High School. The first 4 chapters is the main story of a Senpai and Kouhai while the 5th chapter is about a Sensei and a Student. This blogpost is about the characters of the main story. ^^~

Nakatani Hiyori (Uke)

He was in his 2nd year when he met the 1st year, Kasumi kun. They became roommates and he fell in-love with the kouhai's smile. One day he decided to confess to him but things did not turn out well because he felt nauseous. Whenever he tries to confess or have sex with Kasumi it do not turn out fair for both of them because it's either he will have stomach pain and nausea or they will be disturbed. This one-chapter story is the 3rd story in Wasuremono Manga by Katou Setsuko. It is about the relationship of a Kouhai and a Senpai, where Senpai here is the Uke, so it has thesame pairing arrangement as the 1st story.

The two met during their high school years in a club *sorry not mentioned what club was it*.

Kumagi Kun (Uke)

 Is the Senpai that Usami Kun has been running after since their club meeting. After 2 years Kumagi kun graduated then went to college, where afterward he was followed by Usami kun. Next Door is the second story in the manga Wasuremono by Katou Setsuko. It is a simple story about an adult and a first year University student. I like the characters pairing but don't expect hardcore yaoi actions here. You can find this in Chapter 3.

To me, this one is one of those one-shots where you wish it could have been longer...
