Manga: Oresama no Toriko

Oresama no Toriko also known as, "Toriko of Mine", where "Toriko" here can also mean "Slave" is one of my favorite comedy yaoi mangas. Created by Amagi Ren, the story revolves around two working adults who just moved in to their love nest. The story tackles about the basics of "living in together" and what does it take to be a "couple." It may have simple story plot but the sweetness of these two is the "thing" that made it likable, that is, if you're into corny stuff, which I am. *fufufufu*

Toriko Ubukata (Uke)

Toriko kun is from a poor family. His mother, father, and sister have been divorced and re-married more than once. During high school he met Shijima kun and hated him for being an achiever without doing much. During graduation, he declined Shijima kun's uniform button and told him that he hates him for being not hardworking. That's when Shijima kun fled to the mountains and learned the art of pottery. That also resulted to Shijima kun's insecurity so Toriko kun feels guilty about it. He loves Shijima kun so much that he would do anything for them to be together - forever.

He became a potter because he wants to show  Toriko kun that he is a hardworking person, thus giving up his position to be the next head of Shijima Corporation to his younger brother, Jyun. He has this attitude of not telling Toriko kun beforehand what's he planning to do and they would end up fighting. He's got his funny - sweet moments and I think that's what I like about this manga. ^^~

Manga: Aishuu

Written by Masara Minase, Aishuu, is one of my favorite mangas. At the moment, it is not finished scanlated by Dangerous Pleasure and the chapters available online is upto 4 only. The characters were drawn beautifully and neat. I guess that's why I am attracted to it. ^_^

The story of Aishuu revolves around 2 high school acquaintances that after graduation one of them took a risk of separating from the other. It has a painful storyplot, but I think it's quite good. I am looking forward for the ending chapters to be available online but before that, I cannot wait to put up a BIO of the Uke and Seme!

Kaoru Haneji (Uke)

Kaoru met Aragaki when they were in high school. He is a close friend and one day got kissed by Aragaki thus, fell for him. They were high school secret sex lovers but because he felt insecure and thought that Aragaki doesn't need him since he's been sleeping with others while they're together, he decided to leave him without leaving information, even to his family and other friends so that he cannot track him down. He's trying hard everyday to forget him but he would look after Aragaki's model career development - from a model to an actor. He watches the tv drama where Aragaki participates. Then one day he was found by Aragaki in the restaurant where he works as a waiter and ... end up on his bed. He was forced to live with him but with the intervention of Aragaki's manager, he left him without a word. Aragaki later on was hospitalized and he was begged by the manager to visit him. So Kaoru came over but Aragaki was found playing with the nurse. What kind of life a normal person like him would be, living with this type of celebrity?

He did not realize that Kaoru is being hurt and for being a playboy, was the reason he keeps leaving him. After HS graduation Kaoru left and he was angry at him. He found him working in a tavern after 2 years. He demanded and insisted on Kaoru to live with him because he said it's better to live with a guy than with a woman because the media will not rant about it. Kaoru once again became his secret sex slave. Later in the story, Kaoru disappeared from his place and he felt so depress that he was admitted to the hospital.

Wasuremono also known as "Lost Article" is a series of short stories by Katou Setsuko. Here are the characters of the 1st story, "A Return Flower" which is a 2 chapter story in the manga. This is about a student-teacher relationship.

 He is a teacher in Sumiya kun's uncle calligraphy school. He is older than him by a few years, but it's never mentioned how old he really is. He may look like he forced Masatsugu san during their first sex but it was actually a "rape with consent". *fufufu* He felt guilty about this that he did not come to the Calligraphy school for a month.

Manga: Cry for the Sun

The 3rd story of  "Ake Nure Goyou ni Furu Yuki wa"  by Hori Tomoki is also a one-shot.  It is the 5th Chapter of the manga that centers on a very young man and an older adult man. I can say it is my least favorite out of the 3 stories but the character faces show detailed emotion that it pains me reading the story at thesame time loving the beautiful faces. ^_^

Oliver (Uke)

He is a former University lover of Ethan's father. He wasn't chosen to be his lover for life because Ethan's dad wanted to have a family. He still became the family's friend and that's how he got acquainted with Ethan. During Ethan's dad funeral, he came late and that's when Ethan found him - in tears. When Ethan was a kid, he was his caretaker. He really loves Ethan and at some point he strangled him then he fled and never showed his face to Ethan again until the funeral, which was years later where the boy is already grown up.

He seems to know about Liam's weakness, I wonder why? *fufu* When Liam insisted on repaying him from helping him  go to his class and taking down notes as well, he asked if Liam could kiss him. Manga: Ake Nure Goyou ni Furu Yuki wa

Its English title is: "Staining the White Pine with Crimson Frosted Snow". It is a beautifully drawn manga that makes me want to go back to each pages to look at the characters faces and emotions - all over again. It is one of my fave works by Tomoki Hori sensei.

Aside from the fact that I love the characters making out/love in traditional clothes...it just makes the blood reach 110 degrees Celsius plus unstoppable nosebleed *fufufufu!* In this manga, I focus more on the 1st story because I like VERY bad guy with VERY good guy relation. ^_^ Anyhuuuu... I will also post character biographies from the other stories. It couldn't be helped since I'm doing this whole manga Bio - thingy.

I have to warn that if you're looking for hardcore stuff, this is not it. I recommend this to those who long for Yaoi "gentleness" and cannot hold back their tears. *quick emote mode* 
The best thing about this manga is that, I think for the 1st story characters, it has good development and all throughout the stories, the beautiful artwork is maintained by sensei.

Shibata Yukihiro (Uke)

 He is the son of a famous grand Master of the Tea Ceremony but was born in an out of marriage love. His mother died when he was young and he was left in his own residence with his two caretakers; one of them is a former gang member whom his father took in. Yukihiro kun's father is still alive but he lives with his wife in another residence. He is waiting for the right time or right call (?) to be the "Master" of the family from his father. He longed for his dad and one time that he did not call that he's not coming to see him as planned, he did not eat his dinner and Kazuma kun had to follow him to his bedroom in outrage and insisted on him to give his dad a call to express his feelings and thoughts. Later on, they ended up both lying on his bed. *smirks*

  Tea Ceremony. He mentioned at one time to Kazuma kun that he never liked it before because he could never understand it but he learned to love it through his father. 

He helps clean his residence. He easily get swayed by nature; loves to observe it. ^^

Kazuma (Seme)

 Kazuma kun, (sorry as I have no idea what is his 2nd name here), when he was a boy was scouted by a leader of a gang to be its member. He grew up and learned life through the "gang life". But when the "boss" died, he went out to find the killer and killed him , but also got himself shot. He run away after that and was found drenched in blood, on a winter night , by Yukihiro kun. The story about them is poetic because Sensei relates the meeting in a Winter scene with the color of blood. Yukihiro kun took him in and covered him from the Police. Kazuma kun met Miya san , who's also a former gang member and was taken in by the father of Yukihiro kun. 

He is very helpful in the kitchen, to Fukumi san, the old lady caretaker of the house. When he started living with Yukihiro kun, he was overwhelmed of the lifestyle in his household. He lived for a long time not acknowledging his own family so he hadn't imagined a  life outside the "gang". He respects  his "boss" strongly that he also considers him as his "father". With Yukihiro kun, he never imagined a life of "peace" could exist.

Before he met Yukihiro kun he was a member of a gang. But after his boss died, he became a fugitive and while healing at Yukihiro's residence, he helps clean and prepare food. He likes looking after Yukihiro kun. He gets to spend tea with him and able to see how he makes them. After he left the scene in chapter 3, it is not known what kind of job he found, even after he returned in chapter 6.

I want to start my first entry of characters which I found in the month of January. = ^___^ =

SILENCE is one of my favorite mangas. It is created by Azuma Takamiya. I started reading it around January of 2010. Thanks to Forever More scanlation group for scanlating chapters 1-6 and Dangerous Pleasure for chapter 7. Unfortunately, as of the time I posted this entry, it is known to be "on hold."
 

Kaoru Ikeuchi (Uke)

  I'm not sure how old Japanese boys are when they go to college therefore pardon me if I cannot give it. Beside this, sensei hasn't posted any Bio of the characters - yet. And who knows if they will be posted in the end.
Kaoru kun was in his 1st year when he met Masato kun. The latter was looking for Ishida kun, who happened to be in thesame class. At this time of their school year, they were taking prerequisite subjects. He asked Masato kun to come to his flat to copy his notes, then later, he bought an ashtray for him so he can smoke in his flat. As their friendship developed, he found out that his 2 girlfriends have been snatched away by Masato kun. The last girl he was interested in was from a French class, but he did not bother to court her because he was afraid that Masato kun will snatch her away, too. Although it did not take too long, she became Masato kun's gf.
His intimate relationship started with Masato kun while they were in his flat and the latter was confiding to him about his ex gfs. He loves Masato kun so much but can never tell him because he thinks he's being used only. So one day he told him that he already found someone he likes so they can stop doing the intimacy.

(At some point, I fell in-love with him. ^^)
 His University friends describe him as a playboy. But the truth is, he's only hanging out with Kaoru kun's ex-gfs because he wants to know what makes Kaoru kun like these girls. After his break up with the 3rd girl that Kaoru kun was interested in, he confided to him and told him that they can be intimate until Kaoru kun finds someone he likes or love. He doesn't speak much about his deep love for Kaoru kun, rather, he shows it. But he was instead misinterpreted. He likes touching Kaoru kun's hair whether he's sleeping or not. He would kiss Kaoru kun when he's sleeping and just before he leaves  his flat. But the latter thought it was only a dream.
After the intimacy ended by Kaoru kun, he did not see him until their 2nd year. The first thing he did when he got near Kaoru kun was touch his hair while asking him if he's been doing fine. After a friend came back to eat with them, he "kinda" confessed indirectly to him that he's the one he like since their 1st year. But it's all an unrequited love.
In end of chapter 7, he went back to Kaoru kun's flat and told him he is madly in-love with him.

Well there you go, the two major characters and my first entry on this blog! I thought I should write what I'm passionate about (aside from Food and Cooking and my husband ^^ ) !  I enjoy re-reading the manga, too! Just few days away from my computer's schedule of reformatting.
